About Psychotherapy Networker

Our Mission

For more than 40 years, we’ve been an education nonprofit dedicated to offering practical guidance and creative inspiration to therapists around the world. Whether you want to stay informed about new ideas in the field, take in the shared challenges and personal insights of colleagues, or just keep the spirit of possibility alive in your work, our mission is to provide you with indispensable resources for your professional growth.

Our Award-Winning Magazine

Psychotherapy Networker magazine has earned a worldwide readership for its incisive coverage of the everyday challenges of clinical practice and the therapeutic innovations shaping the profession. Written with the practical needs of clinicians in mind and celebrated for its engaging style, the Networker is the most widely read publication in the psychotherapy community today. It’s won just about every award out there, including the National Magazine Award—the Oscar of the magazine industry.

CE Courses & Trainings

Get the training you need to expand your clinical skillset and deepen your practice with the latest advances in therapy. The Networker’s offerings of live-online, on-demand, and in-person continuing education (CE) trainings, seminars, and courses are packed with valuable insights and interventions in any specialty.

Our trainings go through a rigorous review process to meet the standards of most national and international boards for mental health professionals, clinical psychologists, counselors, social workers, marriage & family therapists, addiction treatment providers, psychiatrists, nurses and practitioners, as well as graduate students and the entire community of psychotherapists. We’re here to give you the tools you need to improve results with the people you serve.

The Symposium Experience

In 1978, the Networker began hosting a unique conference highlighting the latest developments in psychotherapy. Now, it’s the largest, most celebrated annual gathering in the field. With a teaching faculty of 150 leading therapy innovators, the Symposium draws over 4,000 mental health professionals to Washington, DC each year to take part in an array of learning opportunities. Whatever your clinical interest, the Symposium offers workshops and events that will tap your creativity, sharpen your clinical skills, and deepen your experience as a therapist.
